A less-than-favourable weather forecast led to this event being moved from the ‘usual’ outside decking at Old Dunnings Mill to indoors, but the separate area in the restaurant was the perfect size for the 25 or so diners, and provided adequate privacy for the short addresses made by outgoing President Larry and incoming President Nick. The main purpose of the lunch was, as always, to recognise the great contribution made by Larry during his year in office, ably supported by ‘First Lady’ Elaine. President Nick presented a President’s ‘miniature’ to Larry and incoming First Lady Sue gave a bunch of flowers to Elaine. But the usual annual awards for most visits and the biggest contribution to the Circle were this year presented at other events due to the absence of the recipients.
