Just 48 hours after the hottest day on record, 14 intrepid volunteers enjoyed a slightly damp, drizzly evening of bowls at Mount Noddy – on possibly the only wet evening for weeks! The weather didn’t dampen the spirits of the participants, though, who were split into four mixed teams under the expert guidance and tutelage of the Bowls Club members, Colin and Matt. After an hour and a quarter of play (and without any winners and losers) it was time for a picnic in the shelter of the clubhouse verandah. An excellent evening and certainly an event to be added back into the annual calendar if possible. Thanks again to Colin and Matt.
