The final event of Larry’s year as President was a quiz held at St. Bernard’s – a last chance to raise funds for his chosen charity, Facial Palsy UK. Six teams took part and the scores after 6 rounds of questions and two ‘table rounds’ of missing vowels, anagrams and dingbats were remarkably close. Just 13 points separated the 6 teams – in % terms, all got between 72 % and 80% correct. Indeed, there needed to be a tie break between Archie’s Amigos and Super Six, with the former guessing more accurately when the Bank of England was founded. Thanks to everyone’s generosity in the raffle, £430 was raised for Facial Palsy UK. Thank you to everyone who took part and the organising team, especially Wladek, Tom, Pat and question master Nick.
