Following the success of the 2021 event, the format of President’s Sunday was repeated in 2022…with the added benefit / curse of it being the hottest day of the year (so far). St. Bernard’s, Lingfield was again the venue where Fr. Jack again kindly agreed to say mass for the Circle. The 50 or so Brothers, ladies and other guests then moved into the church garden to enjoy a delicious barbecue. A particular feature of this year’s event was the presence of several family groups with small children, illustrating that the organisation is for the whole family. Many thanks to all those who helped before, on and after the day – in particular to the chefs (John F and Andrew) for slaving over extremely hot ‘stoves’ and to all those who brought along a wide range of salads and desserts.
